SHREVEPORT, La. - Dorothy Bugg Nolan Estes, 72, formerly of Chase City, Va., Niles, Ohio and Norfolk County, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at her home with her family by her side. She was the widow of John H. Estes and the daughter of the late John R. Bugg Sr. and Marie Chatham Bugg of Chase City, Va.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Alexander and husband Rick of Portage, Pa., and Terrie Madjerick and husband John of Philadelphia, N.Y.; three sons, Harry Estes and wife Robin of Ohio, Michael Estes of Shreveport, La., and David Estes and wife Cindy of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, John R. Bugg Jr. and wife Aliki of Lake Mart, Fla., and Ronnie A. Bugg of Chase City; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 5, from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. A funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. in the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
