Norfolk - James William Creecy, Jr., 82, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 in a local hospital. Born in Portsmouth, Va., he was the son of the

late James and Margaret Creecy.
Mr. Creecy was a graduate of Craddock High School, Class of 1947 and served in the U. S. Navy and later retired from the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic with the rank of Tech Staff Sergeant. He was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was an Eagle Scout in

the Boy Scouts of America.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife Betty F. Moger Creecy; two daughters, Donna Lee Elizabeth Larson of California and Barbara Ann C. Gibson of Victor, Montana; a son, Augustus J. "Gus" Creecy of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 11 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Joseph Metzger. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6400 Newport Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23505. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts.,
