Norfolk - Nancy Kathryn Agee Hodges died on February 15, 2015, at Harbor's Edge in Norfolk, Virginia.

Born in Portsmouth, Virginia on January 23, 1926, she was the daughter of Nelle Counts and James L. Agee. She graduated from Cradock High School and attended the College of William and Mary. Among Nancy's survivors are her husband of sixty-five years, H. Leon Hodges; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Kemp E. Savage, III; her son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Nancy Hodges; sister-in-law, Joan Agee, and brother, Joseph S. Agee, Sr.

During her lifetime, doing unto others brought Nancy immeasurable pleasure and satisfaction. She faithfully participated in the ministries of Oak Grove and Great Bridge United Methodist Churches and volunteered in various community organizations. The ministry Nancy most cherished was her vocal participation as an alto in the Chancel and Sonshine Choirs. Among the other talents she unassumingly shared were her culinary expertise, love of entertaining in a warm and gracious manner, and arranging homegrown roses for friends and family

A service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015, at Great Bridge United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Robert Garner and Rev. Tim Craig. A reception will follow in the church social hall. Condolences may be offered at www.hollomon-brown.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Building Fund of Great Bridge Methodist Church.
