Charles Patrick Wade, Sr.

 

 

Charles Patrick Wade, Sr., 83, passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2017 in a Portsmouth hospital.

 

Charles was a hometown Portsmouth man, the son of the late Charles A. and Rosalie Wade. He was a retired School Administrator, having taught and coached at Cradock High School and taught most recently at Indian River High School, Chesapeake.

 

He served in U.S. Army and the National Guard retiring in 1995 as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and resident of Cradock for many years.

 

Survivors include his wife Maria Anna Wade; two sons, Charles P. Wade, Jr. and Sean Wade.

 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 518 High Street, Portsmouth, VA. The internment will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, c/o 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23703, or Wounded Warriors Project.
